That was until, his mother died, his father killed by Iron Hand, survived four bear attacks, his life saved by the Hiders, the three men that died, the gold he found, relentless chase by Iron Hand, Many Colors, the woman he married, and the journal he kept, changed his life. A young reporter covering the 1917 changing of the guard from military to civilian authority at Yellowstone National Park, witnesses the last days of Gray Horse. The seventeen year old reporter solves the mystery of Little Color, finds the missing gold, understands the spirit of the bear and the horse, and receives Jake Beckett’s journal. He finds who really killed Iron Hand while fighting off local thieves.

This story starts out with the normal hatred between white people against the "red" race. However it changes in unexpected ways
as the book progresses. It was a good story line and keeps you on the edge and nothing fails to surprise the reader. If you enjoy reading about indians and their cultures...read this book.
