Second book I've read by this author. Such a true phenomenon yet most of us can't master our brains. We toss reason out the window and go with our hearts. Like his other book learned so much in here. Not an easy thing to do I'm going to persevere.I've improved with the last book "how to live 24. Hours a day". This is a good one to read after. Such great recommendations in here. It's a free book. I highly recommend it. You've nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.

Very enjoyable read. Interesting theories.
This was a book you had to read twice. Siome of the ideas and concepts were way above my head. But it is a great reading and I read it in one setting.
Though egocentric and selfish, human beings are not aware of the oppressive environment they call life. Should they be constructively selfish, they would stop depending on bad habits and false expectations and start creating themselves. This is the underlying message of the book, although the author's sarcastic and slightly racist remarks, when describing the brain are a bit distracting from the overall positive philosophical diet encouraged by the author,

Pretty cool book. Bought it when I got somebody else's copy all wet and the pages got warped. I'm not into self-help kind of stuff, but it's more of an "alter your perspective" type of book. Of course, it was written back when the doctor would give you bitters and leeches and whatnot, so take it with a grain of salt, but I was surprised at how reasonable I found it.
This small text has more common sense packed in it than most epics. After reading this for the second time, I was amazed at how simple the premises are. I would recommend this to anyone who may be in search of enlightenment or just simply searching for a good read.
